Jeff has over 35 years of experience across project controls, project management, business management and consulting. He has worked for client, contractor and consultancy organisations. His experience covers oil & gas and infrastructure projects. He has been involved with and led, business acquisitions and integration and had full business profit and loss accountability.

Jeff has undertaken Senior/Leadership roles in Project Controls & Project Management, and Business Leadership as Managing Director of Amec Business Consulting and Rider Hunt International

He is passionate about improving business/project performance through understanding business strategies/goals and developing appropriately aligned execution/risk management plans and empowered teams to deliver them.

Key career activities have included:

  • Establishment of a consulting business within Amec including successful acquisition and integration of independent international consulting businesses of circa 500 personnel, achieving payback criteria/targets.

  • Executive consultant to the Kazakhstan National Oil Company in dispute resolution and enhancing their role as partner/operator.

  • Global Functional leadership of Project Controls within major contractor organisation.

  • Leadership of business ISO 9001 implementation/accreditation

  • Successful delivery of Projects/Developments as Project Manager for

  • Client/Operator organisations including Arco/BP

Jeff is a qualified Mechanical Engineer who chose to follow a career paththrough Project Management/Controls rather than engineering.

Prior to moving into consulting in 2007, Bruce spent 14 years with owner operator BHP (formerly Hamilton Oil). Prior to that Bruce spent 6 years with contractors including Brown and Root.

Energy sector experience includes oil & gas, sustainable and new technologies, with multinationals and small start-ups.

Bruce has worked with Thyssenkrupp, Tullow, EDF, Sasol, Addax, ERC, Energy & Power, Engsolve, Eqtec, Powerhouse Energy amongst other diverse clients.

Bruce’s primary services are supporting project owners and stakeholders, helping identify, validate and control Costs, Plans and Risks through broad Project Controls expertise.

Kash Patel

Kash is a performance driven Project Controls Manager able to manage and integrate different stakeholders to deliver best in class cost and schedule performance metrics. He has executed complex major projects ranging from £200m to £5bn. Strong people management experience leading teams across multiple geographies across the world. Proven track record of working in collaboration with clients, contractors, and suppliers to deliver maximum project efficiencies and savings in terms of cost and schedule.

He joined bp in 2001 in Egypt as Project Controls Manager and delivered three major projects from Concept Select through Execute and start-up. Prior to bp he has worked for major Oil Gas Operators like BP and Shell as well as international contractors like Kellogg Brown and Root, Hitec and Foster Wheeler.

His geographic experience includes 15 years working in Saudi, Norway, Egypt, Indonesia, Trinidad Houston, Aberdeen and London. During this time, he has worked on drilling modules, offshore platforms, major brownfield turnarounds, NGL Plant and major Subsea projects.

Most recently he has headed a team of fourteen project controls staff across four regions Gulf of Mexico, Azerbaijan, North Sea and Africa responsible for cost, schedule, information and performance management for a program of projects delivering subsea equipment and aftermarket services to all bp projects, drilling and operations globally.

Key skills include management of all Project Control and Information Management activities

  • Led and managed the project controls and contract management team and ensure that the project is delivered on time and to budget

  • Provided the project team with oversight, quality control and training to enable accurate, timely forecasts of project costs and schedule

  • Implement the functional plan for Cost and Planning Control including appropriate work and cost code structures and financial reporting ensuring alignment as far as practicable with all stakeholder requirements

  • Provided cost and schedule analysis and control service to the Head of Projects and Project Managers and detected potential cost and schedule overruns in all project phases early to ensure counter measures were implemented on time

  • Involvement in the commercial evaluation of tenders and assuring that the project team was enabled to make informed decisions considering a comprehensive comparison of suppliers and get best value in terms of overall delivery and life cycle costs.

  • Developed, coached, and mentored young teams in multiple locations in Indonesia, Trinidad and Houston to deliver sanction approvals for projects from Concept through to Execute.

  • Carried out peer reviews for bp projects at all stages from start-up through to Execute.

Kash has a Master of Business Administration from Cranfield School of Management and Bsc Hons Degree in Civil Engineering from Surrey University and Diploma in Managing Projects from Manchester University.
